The movie of Twilight was
released in the UK on 19th
December 2008, 21st November
2008 in the US, due to a decision
by Warner Bros. to move the Harry
Potter movie to next Summer.
Although Twilight had been
optioned by MTV some time before,
the deal lapsed and Twilight was
snatched up by Summit
Entertainment.
The director of the film was
Catherine Hardwicke with writer
Melissa Rosenberg.
The film made over $70,000 on
the US opening night alone!
